The people have spoken, and the Jeff Schmitt Auto Group is thrilled to announce that Nicole Adkins is the winner of our inaugural Jeff’s Heroes Initiative!
After we announced this incredible new initiative to highlight and reward real, local heroes in the Miami Valley, the response was absolutely amazing. We received nominations for five exceptional individuals from around the Miami Valley, all of whom have done so much for so many in our community.
That’s why we’re so happy to award Nicole Adkins with $20k towards the vehicle she wants, as well as an additional $10k!
Nicole is a shining example of the strength and determination of our Greater-Dayton community. As the founder of With God’s Grace free food pantry in Dayton, Nicole is devoted to serving those in need. Her food pantry also runs multiple mobile food banks to ensure that everyone has what they need. Her efforts have led to food for over 3,000 area families each month, with the help of more than 3,500 volunteers.
What’s even more incredible is that Nicole has done all of this while dealing with personal tragedy and adversity. Like so many of our friends and neighbors, Nicole lost everything in the now infamous Memorial Day tornadoes that ravaged Dayton and surrounding areas in the Miami Valley.
We’re proud to reward such a tremendous individual and a true example of what it means to be “Dayton Strong.”
We cannot express our gratitude to all Jeff’s Heroes nominees enough for all they are and all the extraordinary things they do in our community. We also want to extend our sincere thanks to everyone that took the time to nominate each one of them.
Reading each of their powerful stories has moved the entire Jeff Schmitt family, and we couldn’t be more proud to be associated with these fantastic people. For that reason, we have decided to deviate a bit from the original initiative plan and award $1,000 to each of the four remaining finalists!
So, congratulations to Nicole, Devaughn, David, Jeremy, Buffie, and LaShonda! Thank you for all that you do for our community!
As for what’s next, we’d love to do this again soon! Stay tuned into the Jeff Schmitt Auto Group for more!
