Jeff’s Heroes 2023: Unwrapped!

In its third year, the Jeff Schmitt Auto Group's Jeff's Hero initiative has uncovered remarkable stories of local heroes in the Miami Valley. Four local heroes relied on the Dayton area's votes to win a New Car and $10,000 cash.

Throughout the year, we've introduced you to four incredible individuals making a significant impact in our community - and awarded each of them $5,000. From December 1st to the 18th, the community was invited to participate in the final stage of this celebration, casting your vote for the 2023 Jeff's Hero. You had the opportunity to vote once a day, contributing to the chance for one deserving hero to win a new car and an additional $10,000 in cash.

Congratulations, Donna Ruff, our 2023 Jeff's Heroes Winner!

The Jeff Schmitt Auto Group proudly announces Donna Ruff as the 2023 Jeff's Hero in recognition of her extraordinary commitment to the local animal community through Ruff Rescue Transport.
Established in 2015, Ruff Rescue Transport, under Donna's compassionate leadership, has become a beacon of hope for nearly 15,000 cats and dogs. The organization provides critical transportation for animals in distress, ensuring their safe journey to shelters and dedicated volunteers. Donna Ruff's profound impact extends beyond rescue missions; it encompasses her tireless advocacy for animal welfare and her relentless efforts to create a better world for our furry friends.Throughout 2023 there were four finalists announced for the Jeff's Heroes initiative. Each finalist received a check for $5,000 from Jeff Schmitt Auto Group to help support their impact in the community. Beginning December 1st, voting was opened to allow the Miami Valley to pick their favorite Jeff's Hero. After thousands of votes, Donna was selected as the winner. This accolade not only acknowledges Donna's unwavering dedication but also celebrates the positive influence she has had on the community and the countless lives she has touched.
The award for the 2023 Jeff's Hero was planned to be $10,000 cash and up to $20,000 towards a new vehicle. After speaking with Donna, we learned that her vehicle needs were already being met - so we were honored to present her with a check for $30,000.
